Dear [Senator/Representative Name],
I am contacting you to let you know that I support new legislation to make tax credits fairer for low-income working families and individuals, specifically the following proposed bills:
- An Act establishing a Child and Family Tax Credit (CFTC) – H.2761/S.1792 – that was filed by Representative Decker and Senator DiDomenico.
- An Act to reduce poverty by expanding the EITC and the CFTC – S.1798 – as submitted by Representative E.ldridge
- An Act improving the Earned Income Credit for working families – S.1768 – as filed by Senator Comerford.
- An Act to increase family stabilization through the EITC – H.2762/S.1793 – put forth by Representative Decker and Senator DiDomenico.
- Resources for free tax preparation statewide in the FY 24 Budget (1201-0100) through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
I sincerely hope you will support these bills and stand up for working families in the Commonwealth.
Thank you,
